I watch you sometimes
when you’re sad
you look like you’re a thousand miles away
you kiss your best friend, hug your boyfriend
whisper “until the bottom of the ocean”
but you’ll never die
in the mornings it takes you fifteen minutes to take all your medication
and on Tuesdays you go to therapy sessions instead of p.e.
on Wednesdays you try not to think about why you’re here
and on Fridays you skip out of lessons to sit in an empty confessional
every day you go to the same pub
sit down at the bar as you order coke and a shot of vodka
you make your way to a booth at the back
drinks shaking in your hands
two more pills in your pocket
you sit down, take the pills out
stare at them then at the drink
you’re medicated enough that even thinking of drinking makes your heart shudder
an old friend in black and white comes over
sits down
smiles.

this is the first thing i've written in months and i'm not sure what to think of it.
i like the last stanza the most out of anything i've written but everything else is just like my typical shitty emo poetry
